Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number for life. It also creates a Government authenticated record of your vocational education and training (VET) achievements. You need a USI if you are a student studying nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET), seeking a VET student loan, a higher education student seeking a HELP loan or Commonwealth Supported Place, a higher education student graduating. Without a USI, students will not be able to receive their statement of attainment, qualification, or award. If you are thinking of going to uni next year, you will need a USI and creating one is quick and easy. All you need is one form of identification.
